Ford Edge SUV Design
Body Art and options remain the same or similar to the previous year. The 2012 Edge is not in flesh and blood of every motor-show debut, though speculators suggest it at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show will be presented.
The original Ford Edge jumped into the spotlight as a 2007 model in the 2006 Detroit North American International Auto Show. It was and is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured seating five passengers, for the excellent on-pavement experience. The Edge is focused on high-tech comfort and modern style, while seating capacity and energy on the bench. Most of the comfort and style, but is listed on the options roster, and by the sweet options, the price quickly turns sour.

Safety features for the upcoming Ford Edge will be similar to the 2011 devices. The airbag system includes two-stage front airbags, front seat mounted side airbags and side curtain airbags. Active safety features include AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability managed with Control. Passive safety elements include SOS post-crash alert system, blind spot mirrors, 4-wheel ABS brakes and MyKey, the maximum speed and volume limited. Optional safety features include a rearview camera, adaptive cruise control and Blind Spot Information System. The 2011 model is not tested by NHTSA to crash or IIHS.
The Edge is the strong competition. Ford Flex and its own Explorer SUVs are more options, while the Nissan Murano and Mazda CX-9 are athletic alternatives. Many challengers, including the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, offer better fuel economy and performance. The 2012 Ford Edge is a solid SUV in a brimming sea of solid SUVs. The choice is difficult, and the Edge high-dollar sticker does not make things easier.
