The 2011 Tacoma is extremely versatile with three trim levels (Base, PreRunner and X-Runner) and three cab options: Regular or Access Cabs (extended, six-foot beds) and Double Cab (five- or six-foot bed). Two-wheel drive is standard, with four-wheel drive available. Two powerful engine choices include a 159-horsepower, 2.7-liter four-cylinder mated to a standard five-speed manual (Regular and Access Cabs) or four-speed automatic transmission (standard on Double Cab), and a 236-horsepower, 4.0-liter V-6 mated to either a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic. The X-Runner is equipped with the 4.0-liter V-6 engine, six-speed manual transmission, 18-inch wheels, Bridgestone Potenza tires and a lowered, specially tuned suspension.
