Chevrolet released the new Sonic of from 2012 at the 2011 North American International Auto Show. His youth, aggressive design with the support of turbo performance ride and agile handling, all combine to create an efficient fun to drive small cars. 

The 2012 Chevrolet Sonic is offered in two body styles: a sleek sedan with four doors and five-door sports. Each offers spacious rear seat first class and cargo space. A variety of connectivity features improve the driving experience.

Chevrolet Sonic models are powered by the efficiency, power density, small displacement engines, including 1.4L and 1.8L Ecotec Ecotec turbo the same engines used in the new Chevrolet Cruze. Three transmissions are available: a five-speed manual and six-speed automatic with the 1.8L and a six-speed manual transmission with the 1.4L turbo. The 1.4L turbo Ecotec powers are estimated at 138 horsepower (103 kW) and 148 lb.-ft. of torque (200 Nm) between 1,850 rpm and 4,900 rpm. The speed range torque – a specific characteristic of turbocharged engines using the engine to provide better driving experience and performance.
