Design Aventador LP700-4

Design Aventador LP700-4
Lamborghini has unveiled the heavily-anticipated Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, an open-top supercar that is scheduled to make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show next March.

Unlike the now-defunct MurciƩlago Roadster, the Aventador Roadster is equipped with a targa-style removable roof panel that is crafted out of carbon fiber using Lamborghini's Forged Composite technology. Made up of two pieces that weigh 13 pounds each, the roof can be removed in mere seconds and stowed away neatly in the front luggage compartment.
Engine Aventador LP700-4
The Aventador Roadster is powered by the same 700-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 engine that is found under the decklid of the coupe. Linked to a seven-speed automatic transmission, the mill sends the Roadster from zero to 62 mph in three seconds flat and on to a top speed of 217 mph, a velocity that is attainable even with the top off.
