Design Porsche 911 Black Limited Edition

Design Porsche 911  Black Edition
The last few variations on the 911—including the GTS and Speedster were positioned at the top of the model range. The 911 Black Edition follows a vastly different approach: Available as a coupe and cabriolet, it comes only with rear-wheel drive and the standard 345-hp engine. At a base price of $82,250, the Black Edition coupe carries a $3500 premium over the barest of all 911s; the cabrio’s sticker of $92,250 represents a $2500 uptick.

Interior Boxster S Black Limited Edition

Limited Edition
Porsche has just started to hype the 911 Black Edition, but is already rolling out that car’s greatest rival: the Boxster S Black Edition. Like the 911, this one leaves a dark impression, with black finishes for not only the body, cloth top, and 19-inch wheels, but the air intakes, roll bars, and dual tailpipes, as well. The top is embossed with "Black Edition" lettering.

Design Porsche Cayman R

Design Porsche Cayman R
You notice the new Cayman R’s aesthetic distinctions immediately. Porsche plays on the historic racing theme once again through the use of specific lettering and stripes on the R’s flanks, as well as a fixed rear wing that references the 1967 911R, of which only 19 were built.

This hasn’t happened before, so it’s worth noting: Porsche’s best car is now its entry-level one. All of Porsche’s kinesthetic achievements, all the decades of road and race engineering that have sustained the brand are now distilled in its Boxster and Boxster S, and you are free to share this information with anyone who denigrates your baby Porsche.

For 2013, the slightly cherubic, overtly retro skin has molted, replaced by more menacing sheetmetal that’s suggestive of supercars such as Porsche’s own upcoming 918 hybrid.

Design Car Porsche Panamera

Design Porsche Panamera
In the realm of premium sports cars, Porsche takes a back seat to no one. But when it comes to back seats, Porsche isn’t the first marque that springs to mind. Every person geeked on cars knows that premium sedans with generously proportioned aft quarters hail from the likes of Rolls-Royce, Mercedes, Audi, Jaguar, and BMW. Porsche builds light, agile two-passenger sports cars, right?

Design Car Porsche Cayman

You have to keep reminding yourself while dusting switchbacks in the Austrian Alps with the new Porsche Cayman S that this is not your dream car. This is not the 911 Carrera, the car in the posters that once wallpapered your bedroom.
